Michell Wool P/L

With more than 150 years of working with wool, this 6th generation family business has seen many changes in the world of textiles. Still led by great, great grandsons of the founder George Henry Michell, the business was first established in 1870.

Michell Wool was at the forefront in the 1960’s in the development of stretch broken wool tops for blending with cotton. This process has been used extensively ever since.

CtnWool™ did not happen overnight. More than 15 years in development Michell Wool has successfully invented a new wool process that delivers a highly competitive luxury blending fibre for the modern textile industry. Michell is a company dedicated to homogenising the variabilities of farm grown wool and preparing the fibre for industrial spinners globally.
